Pasqapro once again played a key role in facilitating international academic collaboration by hosting Prof. Mr. Dr. Sybe A. de Vries from Utrecht University at Universitas Trisakti. During this visit on February 3, 2025, Prof. Sybe delivered a Guest Lecture titled “The Digital Services Act (DSA) & the Fight Against inter alia Disinformation”, focusing on the European Union’s regulatory approach to combating disinformation in the digital age.
The event was officially opened with a welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Dra. Hj. Siti Nurbaiti, SH, M.Hum, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Universitas Trisakti. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of understanding global regulations, particularly those related to digital platforms, to equip law students with the knowledge needed to navigate future legal challenges.
During his lecture, Prof. Sybe elaborated on how the Digital Services Act (DSA) serves as the European Union’s framework for overseeing digital platforms and addressing the spread of disinformation. He outlined the challenges and implications of this regulation, as well as the legal mechanisms necessary to ensure a safe and transparent digital ecosystem.
The session was attended by law students from Universitas Trisakti, who actively engaged in discussions and had the opportunity to ask questions regarding the practical applications of the DSA and its potential adaptation within Indonesia’s legal context.
